This unique program is designed to help families of individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) with the everyday tasks they are unable to complete because of their care-giving responsibilities.
Why is the FSN Important?
Numerous studies on the needs of people caring for individuals with DD, consistently indicate that respite care and assistance with the day-to-day tasks are the keys to helping these struggling families survive. Without aid, families and caregivers often suffer from feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression and hopelessness. In Oregon alone, there are over 60,000 people with DD, and nearly that many families needing help with the essential tasks of everyday life.
